Hi Rich fans,

As I mentioned in the previous post, making cyberfriends is a very cool thing, especially when you share the love of Christ. Another new RichMailList member shared with me a story about such a friendship that I think you'll enjoy.

Dawn Huth writes: The year was probably 1992 when a bunch of us used to hang out pretty regular on the Prodigy CCM BB's. A young girl named Wen-D and I shared our appreciation for Mullins music so we hit it off pretty well. We also had a "secret pal" kinda thing going on with the folks on the board and I organized it. Since I did, I didn't get a "pal." Someone decided that I should have one so I started getting some stuff in the mail. Then along came Creation '92. About 5 of us were going and decided to meet the 3rd day of Creation. In the meantime, I was getting these "clues" to find my special secret pal gift and meet the secret pal. The clues had me all over Creation (no pun intended!) Finally, I found the gift. It was the sheet music to "If I Stand" signed by Rich and my friend Wen-D was my pal. That was the first we really met. But we caught up with each other over the next couple of days and hit it off big. Shared our views and our hearts. She also hit it off big with a fellow Prodigian named Terry (male) . They kept in really close contact. We continued to email and snail mail. She would come to visit from CT to my husband & I in MD. Then finally we all arranged for Terry to come up from VA and her down from CT together. Suffice it to say they were married July 94 and I was in the wedding. She is a sweet, Godly, young lady and it has been my privledge to know her and have her friendship. So there's my story. The Lord works in the most wonderful ways - beyond what we could ask or think...Amen? In Him, dawn Romans 8:27-29

Thanks for sharing, Dawn. I just gotta say, I wonder what Jesus would say about people who, at first, don't know each other and many have never seen each other, communicating over a thin wire by dancing their fingers on a box with light coming out of it. I think He would say, "Very cool!".
