Subject: Lafeyette concert review

Dear Friends,

This is my first time writing to you. I had never thought of taking notes
during a concert before, but since reading many splendid reviews from you, I
did. I'm glad too, to be able to share a bit of the wonderful evening of
worship my husband and I enjoyed on Saturday.

Kevin and I had seen Rich this Spring in South Bend, IN, where we live. But
when I saw Rich was going to be nearby again we just had to go! It was well
worth the drive.

Mitch opened with four songs, all with a love theme. He is going to do great
things for the Lord with his music. His voice seemed much stronger and he
seemed much more confident than when he was here (S.B.) this spring. He
played the harmonica, guitar, and sang all in one song. (He is supposedly
going to record an alblum this fall.)

Rich had a large group of people with him. This Train, Mitch, and two others
played throughout the night with Rich. The extra instruments were incredible
to listen to. Rich and the guys changed a lot since the Spring concert in
South Bend. They used several different percussion instruments to add a new
dimension to the old songs. The long haired percussionist was wonderful.
(He looked like Hank from "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman") He even played the
hammer dulcimer with Rich. He was very good. I believe his name started
with a B but he was only introduced once.

After Mitch sang, Rich and the rest of the gang came out. Here was the
line-up:

Nothing But the Blood of Jesus (like I've never heard it before)
Awesome God
Brother's Keeper
Boy Like Me/Man Like You (with whistling)
Madeline (song written for a 16 mo. old girl who has birth defects but has
lived longer than the doctors said she would, Madeline prays for Rich and his
ministry)
Calling Out Your Name
Glory

At this point in the concert Rich kept wiping his nose and finally said that
the humidity was making his nose run. He said I don't feel sorry for you
guys either, America is a big place, you don't have to live here you know!!!
We all laughed as he finally grabbed a part of his t-shirt and wiped his
nose real good!!!

Ready For the Storm (Irish Sweater Story accompanied)
Waters of Babylon (We lay down and wept for thee Zion.)

Then came This Train.

Mr. Rogers
I Saw the Light (I love this one!)
Monster Truck

By the way, lots of teens ran to the front and danced at this time. They
really got into This Train. They were bodyslamming and jumping up and down.
It was pretty crazy!!! The whole group got a kick out of it.

Rich came back with

I Will Sing (incredible instrumentation) into
Sing Your Praise
Hold Me Jesus
Why Do the Nations Rage
If I Sing (fantastic)
Screen Door

Then came some Canticle songs after an introduction to who Francis of Assisi
was.

There You Are
Heaven is Waiting

Then This Train

Atomic Power (good one)

Then Mitch again

I don't want to live without your love (love song to God)

Rich again,

We are not as Strong as we think we are
Then his new one about Jesus- Jesus you did not have a home (great song!!!)
Sometimes by Step
Creed

Encore:

Saints, Sing Sing Sing, Swing Low
Doxology

As you can see, it was a music-packed evening. Rich talked a great deal
about Compassion and things on his heart. His mom and his uncle were at the
concert. I think he tried to make it a really good show for them. He said
he was nervous having them there.

He is working on an album, all about Jesus. I'm already looking forward to
it. He has such a gift. I love Jesus more because of Rich's songs. I'm so
thanful for him, as I know you are.

God Bless,

Lori Korhorn
