Hey Danl!
Long time no write! We just saw the debut of Caedmon Call's video, " Hope
To Carry On" on Light Force TV. Rich appears throughout the video. There's
something about seeing him that makes us feel like we just saw an old
friend. He's playing a funky painted guitar. (Could this be the same
painted guitar that Jimmy A had on his "Entertaining Angels" album? Jimmy
was the production guy on this video, ya know? Actually Jimmy probably has
painted lots of guitars by now.) I could be wrong, but I think I may have
even saw Mitch at the beginning of the video. If it's not him, it's someone
who looks like him, and he's carrying one of the guys from Caedmon's Call
over his shoulder and drops him in Rich's guitar case, which is open,
presumably, for donations. The video is really cute. Jeff Scott, the host
of Light Force TV, which is a production of our CCM station KSBJ here in
Houston, got a (goofy) bit part in the video. Do you get Light Force up
there in Wichita? It was just a local show, but after they won a Dove Award
last year for Best Christian Video program, several different cities picked
them up. Anyway, it was really fun seeing something new with Rich in it and
it was neat to see some behind-the-scenes stuff from the shooting of the
video.
One other side note: After seeing the info about Billy Crocket's new live
album a couple lists ago, we e-mailed him to see if that album would be
available at his up-coming Houston concert. To our delight, Billy wrote
back himself!
