Mitch continues to heal and make progress, though his vision is still blurry, he has bad injuries to heal, and there is still a long way to go in therapy. Yet there are many reasons to praise the Great Physician. Mitch is now walking on his own after only three weeks. I hope to bring you a message from Mitch himself next week, as I will be going to see Mitch this weekend.
Again a prayer of thanksgiving for the doctors, therapists, and all at the rehab hospital.
Now that Mitch has his wits about him, he is a little frustrated and concerned about this whole mess, and would like to get back to normal soon. Pray for comfort as Mitch now contends with the emotional healing process, as well as the physical. Mitch asked, and was told a week ago Monday night about Rich (right after returning home to Topeka), and therefore is also dealing with that now. Pray for him as he just begins a process we all have been going through for weeks. God will provide the strength and courage.
Continue to pray for Mitch's family. Though they have much to be thankful for, their lives have still been turned upside down with change.
It has come to my attention that we need to be praying for Rich's dear friend's at the Navajo Reservation, especially the children, as the mourn the loss of this dear brother in Christ.
Rich's alma mater Cincinnati Bible College (CBC) is planning a memorial at the college to remember Rich. It will take place next Tuesday, October 21, 1997, which would have been Rich's 42nd birthday.
I have also heard that the same Tuesday will be officially declared "Rich Mullins Day" in Cincinnati.
