Hi Rich Fans,
The Better Book Room was certainly overwhelmed by your response to obtain those last remaining "promo" copies of the "Brother's Keeper" video refered to in the previous post. You cleaned 'em out in less than an hour. Cool! Those will be nice collector's items for sure. For those who were unable to get a copy, you may still have a chance to find a copy of the video.
It seems I spoke to soon when I said it was previously unavailable in retail. It turns out that, though these "promo" copies were previously unavailable to purchase, the "Brothers Keeper" video itself was, in fact, previously available as part of video compilation released by Reunion in 1996, called "Video You Can Believe In." It was a compliment to their existing "Music You Can Believe In" two volume CD set.
I have spoken to John Overholt at the Better Book Room, and you can order it from them for $4.88. There are a couple hundred available - a dozen in stock at the store. So if you didn't get a chance to buy one of the "promo" copies, get one of these now while you have the chance. If you haven't seen the video, it is shot in the beautiful land of the "Dine Bikeyah" (the Navajos). Check it out! Until the video is added to the order page, you can call 1-800-678-6119 or email them at bbr@betterbookroom.com.
Here is a list of the videos included on this compilation...

Rich Mullins Tribute, Compassion Gallery Stage
Friday evening, 6:30 - 10:00 PM
A special night to remember a friend, brother, son, and
one of the greatest Christian poets and songwriters of
our time. This night will feature many of the wonderful
musicians, writers and friends that worked and toured
with Rich during his lifetime here on earth.Ê This will
be a celebration of life, a reflection on the eternal
life, and a time to remember the impact Rich had on
others lives beyond his music. It will be a time to
remember not only Rich, but to point to the One Rich
would prefer we pay tribute to Jesus Christ.

For more information on Cornerstone 98, go to the Cornerstone Page, or call (773) 989-2087 Tues-Sat 9:00am to 4:30pm (CST). Also, I would like to share a prayer request. You may have noticed Mitch's name in the list of participating artists above. I visited with Mitch at length a couple days ago (watch for the interview here soon), and though he continues to improve, his singing voice still has a ways to go. Please pray that, if it be God's will, that He grant Mitch complete healing so that he may resume his music career, and be prepared for this performance (as well as others that are being booked).
The biggest Canticle Of The Plains news is the release this past week of "There You Are" to radio. So if your Christian radio is not playing "There You Are", call them right now (and often) and request it.
Also I received many questions concerning the Canticle. Most of the questions I receive are answered in the Canticle FAQ, including when performances will resume - which is unknown at this time. One question received a couple times recently was about obtaining a copy of the script. This issue, like that of performances, is presently on hold until Rich's estate is completely settled. It is unknown whether the script will be available other than for directors to use for performances (whenever they resume). At this point, the script has yet to even be finalized. That was supposed to happen the week of the Friends University performance by Tapestry Performing Arts, but obviously plans changed.
Plans are being made for a special memorial on the one-year anniversary of Rich Mullins' death (Saturday, September 19, 1998) in the Bradenton-Sarasota area on Florida's gulf coast. Exact time and location will be announced by spring or early summer. There will be an opportunity for anyone who would like to sing one of Rich's songs; a sharing time; and a donation box with all funds going to Compassion International, Rich Mullins Memorial Fund. If you would like to do a song, please contact Dale or Sandy at twink89047@aol.com. Thank you. Thanks, and God bless!
