A couple hundred of you RichMailList members are already subscribed to the Ragamuffin Mailing List (see [RichMailList 207]), the discussion style mailing list for fans of Rich Mullins (and therefore fans of Jesus). You are also aware that this last week Geoff Horton (list moderator) and I affected a switch to SouthWind's majordomo mailing list server. In addition to a much more reliable service, it now provides a digest version of the mailing list, which wasn't previously available.
The main reason for this post (in addition to inform everyone of the change) is to remind everyone of an opportunity to discuss and remember, especially considering the first anniversary of the terrible accident that changed many lives and ended one. Though some still mourn, it is not our desire to dredge up old news or open old wounds, but to provide a forum where one can share how God has used this tragedy to create, to heal, and even to save.
The following are some of the details of the mailing list as they pertain to the recent changes...
To subscribe, send email to majordomo@lists.southwind.net with the
following command in the body of your email message:
subscribe ragamuffin-l
Likewise to remove yourself from this mailing list, you can send email to
majordomo@lists.southwind.net with the following command in the body of
your email message:
unsubscribe ragamuffin-l
To get in contact with the owner of the list (if you have trouble
unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself), send email to
owner-ragamuffin-l@lists.southwind.net. (This is the general rule for most
mailing lists when you need to contact a human.)
The list moderator is geoff.horton@gte.net. If you have a non-technical problem
with the list, this is the address to contact.
To send mail to the list, send it to ragamuffin-l@lists.southwind.net.
To send commands to the list server, mail to majordomo@lists.southwind.net
with the commands in the body of the message.
Here are a few common commands:
subscribe ragamuffin-l # subscribe to the list
unsubscribe ragamuffin-l # unsubscribe to the list
subscribe ragamuffin-l-digest # subscribe to the digested list
unsubscribe ragamuffin-l-digest # unsubscribe to the digested list

send a message to geoff.horton@gte.net asking for a copy of the posting

take a while to get a response.)
