Subject: Emporia Concert

Last night's Emporia concert was wonderful!  (It was the first concert of 3 that
I've seen him in shoes!)  I got to talk to Rich about his mission in New Mexico,
and he said that the job he originally intended to get wasn't working out, but
that it has given him a chance to meet people one-on-one, instead of having to
work around the teaching/tour schedules.  He also said there are other schools
nearby that he could find a similar job at, and that there was still a chance of
getting the job that he was originally trying to get!

Rich played guitar while Mitch McVicker sang  "Heaven is Waiting," a song from the
upcoming musical. The musical will be about Francis of Assisi, except it will be
in Kansas instead of Europe, and instead of a monk, he'll be a cowboy!  The song
was beautiful, and I'm anxious to hear the whole musical.

After the concert, Rich commented on a few secret popular CCM musicians who will
be in the musical.  Let me just say, I'm very excited about who else will be on
it!
