Subject: Rich Mullins Concert

Hi! I just thought you'd like to hear about the concert I went to this
past Saturday.

It was awesome - This Train opened for Rich Mullins at Judson College in
Elgin, IL, and I got to go for free, as I'm good friends with the drummer
from This Train :). Anyway, it was held in a little chapel on campus,
all decorated for Christmas. It was just beautiful! And the strange
thing was that nobody was there! My friend and I were the 1st ones there,
and we got front pew seats, just 3 ft. from the stage. And
Rich played just 10 ft. from me! It was an accoustic set with Mitch,
no other band with them. It was just fabulous! I would have thought
the place would be packed, but there were less than 100 people there.
Nobody even sat next to us! And the playing was wonderful. He played
over an hour and a half straight, with the piano, hammer dulcimer, and
the 2 guitars. It was a total blessing from God for me! Afterward
we got to talk with him and stuff, as there weren't hoards of people
there to mob him.
Anyway, just thought I'd tell you about it. He did 3 songs from the
musical and told us all about it, and they were great (like anything
he does isn't!). Mitch did most of the singing on them, though he
does have a great voice.
Just thought you'd like to know!

Jen
