It is clear from Rich's music that the Bible has always been a strong foundation for his lyrics. He sometimes quoted the Scriptures (Nothing is Beyond You, 52:10), sometimes paraphrased it (Awesome God, What Trouble Are Giants?), and sometimes interpreted it (Growing Young, Elijah). But even when the verses are not directly mentioned in the lyrics, it is clear that the support and ideas are based on Biblical teachings. Five of his albums include the individual Scripture passages with each of the songs. In the others, however, no references were listed. For these albums, I used my own interpretation of the music and found Scriptures that I think are relevant to his lyrics.
